ABOUT THE COURSE
Youth Media Lab 13 is an original, author-designed course where students learn real journalism through storytelling, essays, reporting, and media production. Along the way, they’ll meet professionals and seasoned guests with rich life stories, transforming those insights into engaging media pieces.

Students in Youth Media Lab 13 can submit a nonfiction essay based on their intergenerational experiences through the Better Together program.
The strongest entries move on to the national level — with a chance to win major awards.
INSTRUCTOR AND GUEST SPEAKERS
Media researcher and journalist with a strong track record in media studies and fact-checking investigations. As head of the research group “Fifty Global,” she analyzes major international media publications to expose misinformation and media bias.

Graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Lomonosov Moscow State University, I’ve spent my career immersed in storytelling, writing, and creative content. Most of my work has centered around blogging and narrative projects, and my life has always revolved around words and the meaning they create.

A journalist with more than 20 years of experience in television, radio, and digital media. She has worked with major international outlets, including Voice of America.
